).

I'm all game for that, but my boss is in the business of wanting dates for summer vacations and I need to catch a wagon (or was that a budget flight, I can never tell the difference).

all you'd need to bring is an airbed/campingmattrass and a sleepingbag. (though I do have 2 couches which can be used to sleep on... and hopefully by the time the meating happens I finally cleaned up the mess in my studyroom so I can put down an extra mattrass there)

oy vei! just looked into flights and realized that that weekend is Rosh-hashana, when the jews plug up the airport trying to get their greasy Shtreimels out of the country. this means i'll need to book soon to get a spot.

on the up-side, i'll have sunday through tuesday off work regardless if I take any vacation days, so more dutchie-time for me!

(Amsterdam has a lot to offer museum-wise, ranging from the conventional traditional and modern art museums and some nice historical museums to more... alternative museums (mostly focusing on the "sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll" aspects of life), and in Alkmaar there is the beer museum in which I am quite interested too!) - Or visit a brewery (brewery 't IJ in Amsterdam (which has some fantastic beers) has a tasting room where you can sit down for one of their beers and some simple snacks, but there are also tours in the brewery itself. If anyone would think of visiting the Heineken experience, I'm sure the Dutchies will veto that, though...

- a tour through the dutch lowlands (polders) including the Beemster (unesco protected area) museum windmills and other trve authentic stuff
- city walks through some smaller cities (enkhuizen/alkmaar/hoorn)
- renting a bike and taking a tour on the island of Texel (including brewery and/or museum)
- HAVING FUN!

If it's possible, I'd like to call dips on a cat-free sleeping space, as I unfortunatle have a serious allergy :/

@isis: have you informed about the trains? there's a pretty decent connection from Eindhoven to Amsterdam and/or Alkmaar. Having experience of both options, i would prefer train
