Under Silence: Introducing my band

#1 Post by Under Silence » 14 Jul 2010 01:14

Hi all,

I would like to introduce our band that is highly inspired in BG music.
BG have played the music of our lives over 10 years!
We would really appreciatte any feedback about us.

You can found 3 tracks of our first album "Memories Lost In Time" at:

www.myspace.com/underthesilence

Wartunes From Afar (Epic Theme)
The Only Truth (classic Heavy Metal)
New Winds (mighty "bard song's" style)

Other networks:
www.facebook.com/undersilence
www.undesilence.com

If you like us please, promote us by adding us (myspace) or just "linking" us (facebook), I'm afraid given the current situation the net is the best way to help a band to develop.

Our CD is composed by 8-tracks focus on Epic backgrounds, but it also combines other topics.

Many thanks for your time.

Under Silence

At first I thought "another guy with his band who tries to get some attention by posting about it at a popular band's forum". Which is true of course, basically, but your music is actually pretty enjoyable. I'll give it a few more listens. Good luck with your band :)

You got a nice production there.nice recordings...

Singer's voice reminds of hansi in some harsh vocal parts.

i like a lot all these jumps from 3/4 to 4/4 and vice versa on your ballad.I think most people won't notice though.

Fuck me, this is good!

My only slight criticism is that I think you need to develop your own sound rather than sounding very BG, which admittedly, you do very well. I'd buy your record.
Kickin' names and takin' ass.

Thanks a lot teo_guardian, sidbarnhoorn and T-Fizzle :D

In reply to last comment... yes, you are right

I think it will be difficult to us leaving this way. We grown up listening Blin Guardian, Blind Guardian and more Blind Guardian XD XD Yes, of course there was another bands but BG has been the very most important for us since our childhood.

But we must follow our path, its true.

Well, better good copycats than having bad ideas out of your own. Still the best thing is having good ideas yourselves of course

Anyway, what's the releasedate?

We have recorded the CD, but we're waitting to get a better logo (the actual is just our name with a font) and then we will get the copies.

I think the cd will be sold by ourselves in live plays, and to friends but probably we will also release all songs for free in internet.

This is better than a lot of the stuff commercial bands bring out! I'd buy an album of yours definitely
Well done, and I really hope your band takes it up to the ranks of Metal, you deserve to be there.
I can't think of anything clever to put here.

We are really really happy, your support is very important for us :D

Today we have uploaded two more songs in our myspace.

This time they are our oldest songs: "Under the serpents spell" and "Around the blaze". You may like them less than the newer ones but we think it is important to show all staff, the newest and the oldest :D

Best regards to all!!!

Hi Andreas, thanks for asking :D

We have already chosen the CD manufacturer to produce the copies of Memories Lost In Time. The budget has been provided and booklet design is ready.

The only problem stopping us is the logo. We like a lot our current logo but it has been made of an existing font, so it is not unique. Moreover it seems to be protected by copyright so basically we are not allowed using it (we know the owner will never hear about us but we have to be fair and honest).

We have been working for a month on changing the logo, trying to modify the current one (its i not necessary to change it radically but at leats it should be different), and we are not satisfied with the results :(. We still working on it and in the worst case we will try to ask the owner of the Font for permission.

We really want to realese the CD ASAP. We have been working also on Distribution channels and it will be available through digital stores, european distributors (hopefully) and of course through ourselves.

So thanks again for your interest, we really appreciatte it!!!

Keep on touch!

This was really enjoyable.
Reminds very much of Blind Guardian and Savage Circus though, with maybe a touch of Rebellion (Grave Digger spin-off) when it comes to vocals on the first song, and more self-contained vocals on the second song.
I could wish for the lead guitar to be a bit louder in the mix, but that's because I play guitar myself, so I over focus on that a bit.

All in all, good musicianship worth checking out!

I'm always on the lookout for new bands that have that epic sound. You guys rock. Great lyrics and music. I can definitely hear the BG influence, and I think that's awesome.

You should see another sale off iTunes today!
