saw Alice Cooper last Sunday

#1 Post by Drex » 26 Jul 2010 02:12

If you guys ever get a chance to see him live, do it. It was fucking amazing. Best show I've ever been to.

Lots of pictures if you guys want to check 'em out. I'd post more, but I don't feel like picking out the better ones and resizing.

The first 9 (of 93) are of the opening act, Sacred 13. They were pretty good, but not what I'd typically listen to. They did do a pretty cool cover of The Beatles' "I Am The Walrus"
http://www.myspace.com/sacred13band if you're curious and want to give 'em a listen.

Without giving away any major spoilers:

- the setlist, was it good?
- the show, was it good?

There were a couple of songs that he didn't play that I wish he would have (which you might get, they do change it up), but other than that, it was a solid set. No delays in between songs, either. It was just bam, bam, bam... keep you on your toes for 2 - 2.5 hours.

And the show, well, it's Alice Cooper, it's gonna be a badass show. Even if he didn't have all the theatrics and props and stuff, the band really keeps you into it. They looked you in the eye, got you clapping and singing along... Chuck (bass player) even took someone's camera and took a picture of them mid-song. It was awesome!

No. Otherwise I wouldn't have to wish for boobies at work.

i work behind a pc and don't have too uptight co-workers so i see boobies at work on a regular basis :P

Anyway, Alice never a dull show, hope he'll be able to keep it up for a few more years! Last time i saw him he hardly showed signs of wear so i hope for another 5 years at least :P

Not with the women I work with, you wouldn't. Round yer knees.

I would love to see him, pissed I'm not at Sonisphere this weekend. Anyone here catch his breakfast show on Planet Rock? He's nothing short of hilarious.

I've seen him twice, he's probably aged better than any other rockstar from the 70s, and he has an album with the bassist and drummer from his original band, as well as the two guitarists from his classic solo albums. It might be the best Alice Cooper album in decades (Which is saying something, because even in the last decade, he's released a lot of very good music)
