Moonsorrow. And Bathory. Primordial too.

Wait... do they fit here anyway? :P

Checking all these out atm, really liked Elvenking though :)

I find the best Folk Metal are usually the kinds with harsh vocals, but I'll list some of the ones that don't use them here now for the OP and others. I'll add some links once I'm off of my tablet and back on my desktop since doing so with the tablet might get too frustrating.

Here are a couple non-metal Neo-folk albums without harsh vocals for the most part by bands that normally use harsh vocals in their metal releases.

Manegarm's EP entitled Urminnes Havd - The Forest Sessions. You can sample the album on bandcamp to check it out to see if you like it since the last I checked there weren't good quality versions of the songs on YouTube.

Ulver's Kveldssanger

Also the song Miri It Is by the band Forefather is a great Folk Metal song without harsh vocals by a band that normally uses them.

Here are some other good Folk Metal albums by other bands, but these do use harsh vocals.

Ensiferum's self titled album.

Ensiferum - Iron

Equilibrium - Sagas

Catuvolcus - Gergovia

I'll add some links soon and could recommend more if anyone's interested.

Skyclad.
Then nothing. For a long time. Then Tengger Cavalry. Then nothing. The all those silly viking, pagan, medieval hussa hussa cliché combos. Fuck them all. Worthless reactionary drivel...

They say that life's a game, then they take the board away.
They give you masks and costumes and an outline of the story
Then leave you all to improvise their vicious cabaret...

Still the goddamn Batman.
