I bought there newest one, don't ask me the name though. It's the best record Paradise Lost never made hehehe.

Seriously, I like it. It has the same desolate atmosphere that made records like Gothic and Icon so memorable. The singing is great too, especially the one with the really low grunt. The only thing I don't like is the lack of variation in the tempo's. Most of the songs go on at the same pace, with the exception of the last song. A few slower songs would've been better for variation's sake.

But apart from that it's a cool cd.

Yeah, it's true that the songs tend to remind quite much fo each other but I guess they were aiming for that. I wonder if you've heard Katatonia's Brave Murder Day since that is IMO the closest album in sound to Songs for the Withering.

Will see this later

I personally couldn't live without Nevermore's DNB. :) It is so amazing.

Today I bought: Holy Dio - A Tribute to the Voice of Metal - Ronnie James Dio. Double CD with bands like Blind Guardian, Angel Dust, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dan Swano, Grave Digger, Primal Fear, Doro, Solitude Aeturnus, Destiny's End, Fates Warning, Stratovarius and many others. Amazing!
