I banned Hansi Smurf

#1 Post by Joost » 21 Jun 2011 09:43

Just so you know.
You charge each other for the time and breath it takes to say 'good morning',
But the truth is slowly dawning -- things are getting out of hand,
We all pursue our shattered dreams along the roads to our own ruin --
Watch our empires sink and wash away like castles made of sand.
And so cast off the lies that are your lives and find the truth within.

You could have asked me before............... I could have told you to fully go for it. :P

Considering what he had to offer the forum, I'm surprised this wasn't done a long time ago. Did the steady accumulation of irritation finally just hit your breaking point?

I must admit the incoherent, schizophrenia-induced, rants were somewhat fascinating for a while, to me. But at one point it just became too much and too boring.

Wait, what. You've seemingly fixed (or at least alleviated) the spambot problem, AND you have banned Hansi Smurf?

What's next, you gonna send a van full of strippers and beer to my doorstep?

EDIT: Not to imply that the bots'n Smurf stuff would be like, a personal favour to me or anysuch. Just meant it like "Damn, great job man, thanks!"
And The Lord said unto John: 'Come forth and receive eternal life'.
But John came fifth, and won a toaster.

I remember this old topic. Those were dark days on this forum :(
I can't think of anything clever to put here.

Ah I remember him. I miss him. Something just happened in a FB thread that brought me back here. Two brothers went anti-religious bonkers in a group (like the "we will eat your brains, barbarism" kind of Atheists.) Totally a different variety of the Smurf. Anywho, these were the good old days. Before that Spam War happened and I just couldn't take it anymore.

Ah, the Great Spam War of... whatever year that was. That was a nightmare. I must have personally deleted over scores of bots and hundreds of their posts in a matter of days.

And I can honestly say I've never heard of that kind of atheist. Some people can be dicks about it, just like people of any world view, but I can't say I've ever heard "we will eat your brains" kind of rhetoric.
