Completely wrong! I'm doing web development too, lol.

In any case, I don't think we should begin assigning roles just yet! The moment we have a list of all the people helping, then we can start assigning roles.

That was just what people said they can do.

Nice progress here :D

As soon as we have the site running we should create a forum with a development sub-forum. From there we could create categories dedicated to rebuilding the site.
For example: Programming/Functions, Content, Ideas/Suggestions, etc.

I could also help with graphics design btw.

So a temporary list of potentional contributers might look like this:
Programming/Development:
- The Minstrel Knight LiGHT
- Cigoth
- Bard
- Little Dragon?
- Curufin?

Graphic Design:
- Little Dragon
- Cigoth
- sharpened_graphite?

Databases:
- The Minstrel Knight LiGHT
- Mahoora?

Content
Writing: Gandalf de Grijze, Arwen, Metal Fan
Diary of Hansi: Arwen
(Concert) reviews: Arwen
Bootlegs: Bard has the whole collection, I read in Beren Ercharmion's post.
Tabs: spamel
Pictures: Metal Fan, 2 photographers Gandalf knows.
(edit) Lyrical analysis: The Minstrel Knight LiGHT, Cigoth, sharpened_graphite

Meetings/Organisation: Gandalf de Grijze
Btw. I think the lyrical analysis is a very good idea. I could do a some analyses too, also of D&W songs.
We could add a category for that subject when we have the forum running.

That's looking like quite the list! Should put me under content as well, though. I've already started a lyrical analysis of some songs.

The moment I get the domain, I'll be doing the very thing you suggested and set up a forum for development and whatnot. Hopefully we'll be able to coordinate our efforts there, and come up with an official list.

PS: For those of you who aren't aware, we have an IRC channel up and going. The channel room is #the-following and the server is irc.freenode.net. Right now, littledragon and myself are keeping each other company.

IRC is a chat protocol, so unfortunately, I can't post links unless they're links to web-based clients. I suggest downloading something like xchat,

http://xchat.org/

and using that to connect to #the-tavern @ irc.freenode.net. :D

In the future, there won't be many of us on IRC. Only the people actively participating on this project, so I wouldn't worry about too much spam. :) Have fun at work!

- The Minstrel Knight LiGHT
- Cigoth
- Bard
- Little Dragon?
- Curufin?

Graphic Design:
- Little Dragon
- Cigoth
- sharpened_graphite?

Databases:
- The Minstrel Knight LiGHT
- Mahoora?

Content
Writing: Gandalf de Grijze, Arwen, Metal Fan
Diary of Hansi: Arwen
(Concert) reviews: Arwen
Bootlegs: Bard has the whole collection, I read in Beren Ercharmion's post.

(edit) Lyrical analysis: The Minstrel Knight LiGHT, Cigoth, sharpened_graphite

Btw. I think the lyrical analysis is a very good idea. I could do a some analyses too, also of D&W songs.
We could add a category for that subject when we have the forum running.
Was the exclusion of my name purposeful?
Nah, just kidding, I'd love to help, as said before, but if there're already enough people helping out, that's cool too :D
I can't think of anything clever to put here.

Hi, I could help with organizing quizes, events (drawing contests, whatever) that could make the community more entertaining. I could translate from Hungarian as well. I could even write some texts about the band's (mostly the guitarists') equipment. So, if these interest you, I'm in. Blind Guardian forever. :D

Any and all community support is welcome. :D

However, I don't think we're at the stage to be running events just yet as we don't even have the site up! You could organize something here on the forums, though, and we'd later put everything up on The Following.

@Metalfan:
To keep it simple: "Was the exclusion of my name purposeful?", as Wade wrote. I wrote a list of things that I could do (that you quoted multiple times) and you didn't include any of that in your post. Just out of curiosity, is my english so inarticulate? Normally, people get what I'm trying to say/write. Whatever.

Update: I've received an email from Robert (the current domain holder). He's pretty busy right now, but we're in talks over the domain. Nothing to report yet!

Hi all!

First of all, I hope the fact this is my first post won't make you take me as not serious :)

I wish to offer you my help. I see you already have people for almost everything, and my best skills are programming - server-side, database, client-side whatever. Just don't ask me to design anything :)

I am aware that there are already a few programmers on team already, but if you need any kind of help I'm here. Also, I could do technical and functional specifications, use-cases and all that "boring" stuff which actually increases chances of making a great application or website. Not wanting to brag or something, but I've been programming for 15 years; currently I am working for a small company which makes software for brokerage, portfolio management etc, and was the lead developer for our WebTrading platform. I don't really like flash, but if you decide you want something, I can help here too as I am currently working with Flex.

Probably not on top of the list of priorities, but I can translate from English to Croatian too.

If there are some financial difficulties, I'm more than willing to help with that too (in reasonable amounts :D).

Basically, I wish to help in any way I can :). Just tell me what to do.

Good to know :)

@snarez
Sounds good, the more people the better. Thank you.
