I just discovered I can read Swedish

#1 Post by The Rider Of Rohan » 23 Jun 2010 20:24

Well, there I never. I was googling Swedish AOR-artist Erika, who released some unknown but great melodic hardrock in the early nineties. I landed on a Wiki which somehow never was translated into English. Still, I was able to get the full story despite it being written in Swedish.

Man, I'm awesome. 8)

I can understand the general concept of a french or spanish sentence too, for the record :P
"There's a time when a man needs to fight and a time when he needs to accept that his destiny's lost, the ship has sailed and that only a fool will continue. The truth is I've always been a fool"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
A slight call afar is tempting me, like a whisper sweet or an awful scream; I cannot ignore what I've always been, I'm leaving again - one last time? in my little kingdom I can be what I really wanted to be... The wanderer
Yes, but that's because French, Italian and Spanish aren't real languages. They're a collection of random syllables made up as the speaker goes along. And all of them relate to sex.
You might like my mom then. She's able to speak a bit Swedish and can read almost everything, and in our family we're all fairly good German speakers.
Well, what can I say... maybe you were drunk, otherwise you wouldn't even have come within a range of 100 meters.
Very well possible. After all, the university here is famous for its studies in agriculture.
Every time I stumble upon something written in swedish (like when I go to Ikea to have their delicious meat balls :D ) I'm unable to understand a single word. So yeah, you're awesome.
