Acoustic, Medieval, Folk song - The Lost Words of a Poet

#1 Post by innerdream » 03 Apr 2011 09:23

Hi bards

I've uploaded a new acoustic, folky, celtic song The Lost Words of a Poet onto my soundclick and youtube, inspired by Blind Guardian classics The Bards Song, A Past and Future Secret, Curse My Name

http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10474651

Your comments are greatly appreciated as this is one of the few acoustic guitar songs i've written!

Cheers
Paul

Very relaxing. The flute and acoustic sounds sounded great. It was missing a little bit of a hook. The "I was lost" vocal part seemed like it was going to be a real climaxing hook but it just rounded out. It's not that catchy overall but it sets a cool mood and overall is an enjoyable song. You also do a good job with the clapping and drums, they are small details but seem to go a long way here.

cheers Shepherd - the little extra bits of percussion do help fill out the song - i will be trying more acoustic stuff in the future though - its whetted my appetite!
