Seven Steps of Denial

yeah, kick-ass! 8)

After a silent period for me i was asked to join this band and pick up the microphone. They had an almost finished demotape, so unfortunately i hardly helped there, but i didn't want to deny it just because i play a very small part on it. ;)

Enjoy!

the high/clear vocals on the demo are NOT mine.

basically i did only the chorus for two songs :P My voice can't quite grasp the high tones the other dude manages to pull off, so the music has some more aggression to it when i sing ;)

@Mackasfour: i don't know... i'll ask the rest how they think about it :)

Very good music, love the intro on die before darkness.

So who did the soft vocal-lines? I´m confused :)
Love the voice, very unique.

oh sorry!! Almost forgot about this thread
Yooden wrote:So who did the soft vocal-lines? I´m confused :)

The current bass-player/old singer did all of the verses, i did most of the chorus on the demo. I sing with a bit more power, and most certainly not so high-pitched as the old singer :P

anyway, the demo is basically ready, only thing left to do is multiply the damn thing ;)

Dutchies can buy the demo through me, i will send them cost-free to any dutch adress. If you wish to buy them at a show, go ahead, but you have to realize we don't have anything planned just yet  For other european countries it shouldn't be such a big problem to send them too, but i cannot promise to do that without extra costs. :)

I just listened some songs. Not bad. Not too bad at all, good work!

Only downside is the band pictures. Why on earth do all metal artists look like they seriously need to go to the toilet?!

j/k Marcel :P

I like the instrumental part, but there's something about the vocals which I don't like. Can't really explain.

then it's a good thing they've asked me to sing hm? ;) what you hear is the old singer

OK, maybe your voice will fit the music more. Will it take long for you guys to record some new stuff with you on vocals? :)

oh that might take a while.... we've just finished the demo, and now we have to earn back the costs though demo sales. So i guess by the time we've done that we can think about a new demo. :)

So you can help speed up that process in multiple ways: buy a shitload of demo's, or get us booked in a place near you so we can play and sell the demo there. :P

You thought about something like Kabaal am Gemaal? It's a metal stage in Wageningen on May 5... you know that sort of thing.

we've decided to sell them for € 5.-, or give them away to persons who can be helpfull for bookings and/or promotion. I'd say Andreas belongs to the second sort, so if you PM me your adress, i will send one to you cost free :)

I didn't receive an answer yet, I don't think it's a 24/7 company. But just in case, I'll be annoying to them.

That might be a good idea indeed. Maybe they'll be more active, since the selection round for bands from this region was held last Saturday (only regional bands, mind)

it's been a while and we had some developments.

Thierry, the rythm guitarist, has been put out of the band. We're currently still with the four of us but have a load of auditions coming up! :D The new guitarist will not be limited to just rythm since we're writing some exciting new stuff which is in serious need of two lead guitars. ;)

I hope to be able to update soon with some new material, you have to believe me when i say it is absolutely kickass!! :D We decided to stroll from the softer part and move more towards an Iced Earth/Amorphis/Nevermore side, and we all love it so far! :)
