Virgin-era albums now being re-released on Nuclear Blast

#1 Post by JazzJackrabbit » 04 Sep 2017 06:22

Found out about this from the Power Metal subreddit. The pre-Nuclear Blast albums are up for pre-order on the website as well as iTunes, which most likely means they'll be on Spotify too. :D

Great! Actually, it seems that Nightfall will have the remastered versions from 2007, but as far as I see there is nothing wtritten on ANATO and IFTOS. Everything else looks remastered in 2017

Based on the track list given for IFTOS, it most certainly looks like the 2007 remaster. And then I guess ANATO would be the one from ATGTSAT?

Hey all,

I did contact NBC Germany on this.

The situation is the following:

Battalions Of Fear – remastered 2017
Follow The Blind – remastered 2017

Tales From The Twilight World – remastered 2007
Somewhere Far Beyond – remastered 2007
Tokyo Tales – remastered 2007
Imaginations From The Other Side – remastered 2007
The Forgotten Tales – remastered 2007
Nightfall In Middle Earth – remastered 2007
A Night At The Opera – remastered 2017
Live – original
Follow the blind
Your journey, your last hope, it can begin
These passing dreams were real no fantasy
There are more things than we know
Come take my hand

So is the ANATO Remastered 2017 the remixed version that was on the ATGTSAT boxed set?

its cool whatever it is, its always a pleasure to get a different version, but i really think its time to get a better version of a ATITM and ATEOT without the clippings and some other things in it :? ATITM probably needs a remix, its their worst one and ATEOT maybe just a remastered version.

I was wondering if the "2017 remaster" for ANATO meant no more *beep* on Under The Ice. I tried to listen to it on Spotify and it's still there, and frankly I'm happy about it

Battalions Of Fear – remastered 2017
Follow The Blind – remastered 2017
Remaster of the Remix of the remastered 2007 series?
Or remaster of the original releases? :?

I'll go for ANATO
Sorry about my bad english, but the good one is on vacation!

If Charlie remastered ANATO then I expect a crap of remastering.

In the new issue of German magazine Rock it there's a short review of the remastered albums.
The most interesting thing is that they say that ALL albums will be re-issued on vinyl next. I hope this is true!!!

I have a question. Why these two links show different images and prices on the albums. I mean, which ones are the remastered ones, cause I don't know which ones to order? Some help, please :?

Well one is the German site which lists them in Euros and the other is USA which lists in American dollars so yeah the prices will be different.

But I'm not sure what the confusion is on the albums? It looks pretty straightforward to me.

Well, I still dont get it. The first one shows 10 dollars and the second one 15 euros, which is almost double price if I have to make it equall to the money in my country :?

Well they're not obligated to do straight 1:1 conversion between the regional stores and prices. Ideally it would be all the same but there's probably other factors involved (production costs, shipping, etc).

When someone gets them, post a pic or write down the linernotes about the mix and master here please! :)

Seems like I'm going to buy a 4th and 5th copy of the discography after I hopefully land a job soon 8)

Hi, guys! I have one more question.
Are the versions on nuclearblast.de the new remastered versions cause there is no information on the site - like the day of release and things like that? I mean how can I be sure that this is the 2017 Remaster of A Night At The Opera for example: It writes Remastered, but it could be also the one from 2007 :?

http://www.nuclearblast.de/en/products/ ... tered.html

Also, why I have to preorder Imaginations From The Other Side - it writes 17th of november as a release date when it's already in stock actually?

I tried to buy everything from nuclearblast.com(everything is great written there), but I can't, cause the site rejects my Debit Card, even that everything is fine with it(I checked the company of it and they said that everything is perfect but the site rejects it :? )
So, I want to try through the German version of the site, but I'm confused about the Cd's - which ones are the new remasters actually. And why Blind Guardian's facebook page recommends only the usa version of the site for the new versions? Maybe nuclearblast.de doesn't offers the new remasters actually? :?

Thank you very much, I really need your help!

iTunes and Spotify have it listed as "Remastered 2017." Same thing with BOF and FTB.

I think it's like 99% safe to assume that the one listed on nuclerblast.de is the same one that's on iTunes, Spotify, etc and is the 2017 remaster.

But if you wanted to be 100% sure then you should contact NB.
