This is probably enough reason to postpone the orchestral project for another two years.

Ahahah, exactly Traveler in Time :D

As far as I know BG it's enough for another five years...It seems that firstly we'll get another studio album after 3 years.

Well I got my VIP ticket for the Dallas show :D

I'm surprised that Blind Guardian will be coming back to the U.S. in less than 1 year. Usually we have to wait 4 years. I'm not sure what this means about their orchestral album, live album, and new studio album, but I'm not gonna complain about getting to see them live again. :D

The concert last year with Grave Digger supporting was one of my favorite concerts ever, so it'll be awesome to see that again. I thought Luca Turilli's Rhapsody/Primal Fear was going to be the main power metal tour of the year for the U.S., and now we have this one as well.

Hopefully they play a song or two that I haven't seen them play live yet in my humble 2 times I've seen them. Majesty, Journey Through the Dark, Lost in Twilight Hall, Wheel of Time, etc. I'll be happy with anything really. Hansi said in an interview that they're gonna start playing The Holy Grail live, so I hope to hear that one too.

Sorry to double-post, but not really. They are doing Quebec on the 17th so there are 2 Canadian shows in September. Canada deserves it's taste of Imaginations.

It is absolutely amazing that they are coming back less than a year later and playing the entire Imaginations album. It will be a special night. Hoping to hear Wheel of Time, Time Stands Still and Curse of Feanor as well (ones I missed last year).

So first show was like this:

The Ninth Wave
Time Stands Still(At The Iron Hill)
Nightfall

IMAGINATIONS ALBUM in order

Valhalla
The Holy Grail
The Bard's Song - In The Forest
Mirror Mirror

Could use another 2 tracks, deep cuts, but it looks cool. Holy Grail!

That's pretty disappointing. My only hope is they will play Journey through the dark or Traveller in Time instead of Holy Grail.

It's pretty normal that they play more new songs from the new album being this the "beyond the red mirror world tour".....they have to balance the set.... "the holy grail" is an oustanding song and it's pretty amazing alive !

Really? I would have loved to have seen Holy Grail live. And they're already playing all of Imaginations, why add in more old material?

Tonight they got The Last Candle 4th, before Imaginations. And Then There Was Silence was done after and no Valhalla or Grail? Odd but there it is, I think Candle should be there for sure, would rather Grail than Silence. Show before they did Fly but switched it to Last Candle tonight which is way better!

I could definitely do without the last candle... Don't know if they keep the IFTOS thing this december when they do a minitour in europe again...

Was wondering that myself. In the meantime I think they will keep changing stuff up around Imaginations to keep it more fun for them :P . I love Fly but to compare it with The Last Candle, no way, and Tales From The Twilight World needs some representation. Would seem reaaally odd to see a show without Valhalla though. Since I've already seen it twice personally I would way rather hear Holy Grail, Wheel Of Time or Sacred Worlds again instead of And Then There Was Silence. However any other track from ANATO would be greatly appreciated. 8)

Well, it happens to be my least favorite from the otherwise awesome album. It's too old school. Any other song would be good. Also, I wish they would stop playing 9th wave and do Grand Parade instead.

I would love Precious Jerusalem or Battlefield, but even songs they played in the past like Punishment Divine, Under The Ice or The Soulforged would be awesome!

Agreed! Would love to hear any of those. Last night they got Prophecies after Nightfall, Time Stands Still was second, and I guess the show before they actually did Into The Storm second. Only 16 total last night, could definitely use another one at the end, especially considering they pulled out And Then There Was Silence a couple shows ago. I also think Grand Parade would be wild live, still wanna hear Holy Grail so I hope they play that a few more times on this leg.

Last night's setlist was the worst so far... Tanelorn again? Into the storm? Time What Is Time instead of Journey again? I keep fingers crossed it won't be like that in NYC.

Well that's your opinion, that is the set I wanna see!! Into The Storm, Tanelorn, Holy Grail and Time What Is Time  Time What Is Time is just as good as Journey IMO. 17 songs total is like the best set so far on the tour, I can only pray they do TWIT and THG when I see them next week. I would die a happy man if I could hear anything from SFB besides Bard's Song, I won't hold my breath though.

Jeez, people... You keep mentioning 2 of the trifecta of BG songs I can't stand. It's enough that I know I have to sit through I'm Alive again, so please keep The Soulforged and Journey Through the Dark away from me.

No Valhalla is just weird... The ProgPower USA crowd put in a valiant effort and got it as close as I've seen to Coburg proportions, so that was pretty awesome.

Ultimately, I don't care what they play. They look and sound great on this tour.

Has been a while since they did that one. I guess Silence was to be played but technical difficulties made them cross it off. That's odd, wonder why they didn't just do Valhalla instead? Seems a bit unfair, sure it was a great time anyway!

I am upset. Last 2 songs from IFTOS + Secret were the only ones worth seeing. Everything else was played before.

It's totally different for everybody. I 'll be seeing tracks 2, 3, 5, 7 and 8 for the first time, where I have already seen track 1 twice, track 4 once, 6 twice and 9 two or three times. Seen Silence twice, Time Stands Still three times and Into The Storm once. Everybody else has a totally different count as well, it isn't possible for them to please everybody but to cut off songs is a shame. :(

So the only shows worth seeing are the ones where they only play songs you've never heard before?
And what if, of course, other people at the show have already heard the the songs you've never heard before?

I've seen them 5 times this year and of course I heard some songs more than once but I can't complain, they always did amazing shows as they're great entertainers and that's it.

I've heard all of the IFTOS songs live at least 3 or 4 times... I'd still kill to be able to see the entire album in order...
(Everyone who was at BGOA has seen all the songs live, but never in order)

Well Bard's, it was an amazing set and night! 17 songs with Time What Is Time, Welcome To Dying and Prophecies done fourth. I went to check out the venue in the afternoon to get my tickets printed and I noticed my friend was working security and another doing merch for Guardian, I was able to get into the venue and hang out with my friend and get my merch early, got an Imaginations shirt, a 2016 tour one and a Grave Digger longsleeve. It was about 3pm at this time and Guardian showed up for soundcheck so I got to check that out and talk with Frederick for a bit before getting my Imaginations album signed by Marcus, Andre and finally met Hansi!  After the soundcheck I got some photos with them all and grabbed a steak with the wife before enjoying one of the greatest shows of my life!! Everybody shined and played amazingly, Hansi put a lot of energy into it and seemed quite impressed with the London crowd. Grave Digger also killed it, great show all around. Seeing Imaginations from front to back was nothing short of brilliance, and then Time What Is Time just totally made the night a dream come true. 8)

I will try to post the pics of me and the guys if I can figure it out, I suck with computers!! They will be on my Facebook if anybody wants to check them out! If you're a fan of Guardian, you are all friends of mine

I don't know why they hate NYC so much. On every tour they either play wrong songs or don't play enough. 2010 was probably the only exception.

Did they play NYC in 2015? I wish you could see the pic I got with Hansi because he has a New York cap on, so I really don't think he hates New York at all.

It was rushed at the end because the promoter had other obligations afterwards I also heard and had to have it done by a certain time. And they did NYC 2 years in a row, maybe that's why it didn't bug them much. Last night they got Fly fourth and Majesty and Holy Grail in encore, no Valhalla.

Can't wait to see them tomorrow :D I am hoping for Time What is Time, The Holy Grail, Curse of Feanor, or Majesty. But really I am happy with anything else they play since they are already going to play all of Imaginations. :D Will try to get their autographs after the show and going to pick up some merch for sure. The Imaginations shirt sounds good. :D

For once I hope they DON'T play that song tomorrow since they played that the last 2 times I saw them.

I hope for a nice surprise but I am more than happy that they are playing my favorite album in its entirety.

I can't decide which to get autographed... Imaginations, BTRM, or A Night at the Opera.

I went with Imaginations given the tour, but therefore I did not ask Frederick for his autograph. BTRM everybody can sign  I should have brought both.

That's the same reason I don't want to bring Imaginations. I have a Japanese version of Imaginations with the OBI and its near mint and I kind of think that the signatures will get in the way of the artwork. Same reason why I don't want to bring ANATO. Beyond the Mirror, on the other hand, everybody can sign and for me it will look better with the signatures (with silver marker) since it's kind of plain and black otherwise. Right now I have BTRM ready to go but it might change at the last minute.

And the VIP is just early entrance. Last year I got there around 2-2:30pm to assure my spot in the front row, and this time there is no way in hell I am waiting that long again. So with the VIP it's not a meet-and-greet but at least I can enter 1 hour early, quickly check out the merchandise, and go straight to the front row.

Were there any BG hoodies at the merchandise section?
