First show for 2014 confirmed

#1 Post by Traveler in Valhalla » 11 Sep 2013 16:32

BG will play at Loud&Out Festival 2014 in Geiselwind, Germany!
http://www.outandloud.eu/

They will play a "special best-of show".
(Isn't every BG concert a best of show? :P )
welcome to the show

Hmm, does that mean that we will get both new albums before that show, or they changed their mind? I wonder...
Now I'm riding through the air
Going to where no one dares
On the way I cross the line forevermore.
For once in life, I do not care
Nothing matters, now I dare
On the ride I'll cross the line
Forever to be free

Since it's not far from here, I will at least go to see Guardian, let's see how the running order looks. And there's actually a number of bands I wouldn't mind seeing (again).
http://www.gedichtblog.de
They say that there's a broken light for every heart on Broadway.
They say that life's a game, then they take the board away.
They give you masks and costumes and an outline of the story
Then leave you all to improvise their vicious cabaret...

Still the goddamn Batman.

Good question, guess we have to wait a little longer for an answer. Maybe until Hansi's New Year's message?
But I don't cry for new songs as long as they finally play Curse of Feanor live

Probably gonna be there as well, as of yet that billing is fucking KILLER. Guardian, Rage, Freedom Call, Stormwarrior, Vad0r, Powerwolf,Ensiferum,... hell, I might even take a look at Doro. If they confirm Saxon next, three of my four topmost favourite bands are playing, and I doubt very much that Priest are gonna come there.

"playing a 90 minute long best-of show!"
If it's really a "best-of show", and if they really want to play all the classics, they must play at least 3 hours!!!!! :D

Considering that BG always play their "best-of" show, I'm guessing the setlist won't be too different from the last tour

which is kind-of a shame, since now the "best-of" shows won't be really special.
Eventhough it will be awesome nonetheless :)

The longer announcement from the festivalpage did actually emphasize on older evergreens. Who knows, maybe we'll get Barbara Ann as closer, I'd very much like to hear that.

90 minutes is really less, but better than nothing, well i guess they will need to take the "live breath" and blow it on the new material like the last time ;) (Dragon's breath?)
At least some news, maybe it's the beginning of a wave to come :)

Although i am looking forward to this material as well

Greetings to all Blind Guardian Czech fanclub members and fans worlwide

as you may have seen on the Blind Guardian Czech fan club website http://www.milan-skoda.cz/blindguardian/defaulteng.htm or you got the email information, so Czech Fanclub going to release at the end of this year a large (about 10 CD) audio box with several dozens of rare Blind Guardian recordings, compositions, excerpts, etc – which I ever occurred during the entire career of the Blind Guardian and which I managed for last 25 years about the group to amass. Work on this big box now in full swing and slowly draws to its conclusion, it is time to invent a box for this audio appropriate, nice, meaningful - just the right bard title, which breaks the head of each of the band before the release of their new album.

opening the debate, and I will give you all the opportunity to send me by email the idea, which would you threw on a box with 10 CD audio box recordings by Blind Guardian ... whatever you can think of anything, something like The Unforgotten Tales or At The Edge Of Blind or any pun and joke, send your idea to the end of September, and I believe that eventually, one such a great idea for the title of this box I will choose.

head of Czech fanclub
Milan Skoda
Sorry about my bad english, but the good one is on vacation!

And this is when I really hate living in the US.
⋨The Dagor Dagorath, the great final battle at which the forces of the brothers Manwë and Melkor will face one another, and Arda will be unmade.⋩
Is in with Bender on his plan

It's a great line-up, and it would be really nice to finally see Blind Guardian again, after 2011... If only I lived closer to there
So out of nowhere it will rise...

Haha, no fucking way! And Dust Bolt as well. Fucking hell, that's about the greatest billing for one of those kiddie-open airs ever.

Calls for a big-time forum meetup, don't it?
