Sup with ANATO in the tour

#1 Post by bestpike » 31 May 2012 18:46

Not a single ANATO song played in the last 10 shows of 2012? Why? :O I'm expecting at least a Punishment Divine in one of the 3 shows in Greece, or I will be singing its lyrics on top of other songs! :P
Now I'm riding through the air
Going to where no one dares
On the way I cross the line forevermore.
For once in life, I do not care
Nothing matters, now I dare
On the ride I'll cross the line
Forever to be free

Yes, and at the end ít's even the 10th anniversary of the album :?

It's also the 20th anniversary of Somewhere Far Beyond :P

A slight call afar is tempting me, like a whisper sweet or an awful scream; I cannot ignore what I've always been, I'm leaving again - one last time? in my little kingdom I can be what I really wanted to be... The wanderer

Actually I guess Punishment Divine is out of the question, I see it was played last time in December 2010, 48 shows back... Damn, they need to work on their ANATO songs more, maybe a new one, like Wait for an Answer, or Battlefield (yeah right).

They should indeed play more ANATO songs imo...

not just ATTWS and Punishment Divine, also the other songs!

It is a great album, I would have to play more songs from him!

Would like to hear Jerusalem and Under the Ice, presume they're not too hard to play live, since they already did it back on ANATO tour... or even Maiden and Minstrel Knight?

I don't think they ever played Jerusalem or that they ever will.

Age of False Innocence!
would be great live imho.
Awesome awesome album anyway
I agree with the general idea.
The best argument against it, I suppose, is that the songs have many layers and the production has a major part in them. It will be very difficult to keep the original qualities of the songs.

I think that in the next albums they tried to take it a bit more into account (for good or bad).

Interesting, in that aspect, that the live stuff (DVD and album) came after it.
It probably had some effect on the new material.
(after all - it's a shame not to be able to play new songs live, or not to be able to make a good live version, even if it's limiting the artistic vision)...
"As darkness came it brought along silence.
Yet silence also bears madness.
Silence surrounds me - a deathly silence"...

In the end they didn't play any song from ANATO during the show in Italy... :(

I was talking with my friend towards the end and I was saying "It's obvious that only The Bard's Song and Mirror Mirror are missing, but imagine if they say Fuck That and play just Somewhere Far Beyond and And Then there was Silence" :P

would like to see to make a tour of theaters and to play the entire album ANATO, yet it would be better with a symphony orchestra, what do you think of this??? :D :D :D

I was so nervous, I almost couldn't enjoy the show - but guess how happy I was when Hansi announced The Last Candle \m/
