BG at Knockout Festival Karlsruhe?

#1 Post by Dentarthurdent » 04 Mar 2011 14:35

Said festival wrote on their facebook page, that they have confirmed Guardian as first headliner.

However, it takes places on December 10th of this very year, while Wacken claims to be the only German appearance in 2011.
Anyone got any info on this? Maybe... Jason? :D

Well, perhaps Wacken is not their only German appearance, just the only festival. The evening you named takes place in december, so technically I wouldn't classify it as a festival per se - it's basically just a concert, but with a lot of bands.

"you guys"? are there more? ;)
it's definitely a good opportunity to see them close and really be able to enjoy a BG concert
that's why I loved their 70k gig that much - where else do you get the chance to be in the first row and still have some room for yourself?

There are only 100 VIP tickets, so i doubt that all front will be occupied by them.

there are still some VIP/frontrow tickets available
if there are indeed only like 100 VIP tickets around, I don't see the reason to get one
I remember "Weltspitzenklasse Düsseldorf", where around 1'000 people were let into a "front area" - that really made sense because it was a venues with a capacity of maybe 5'000 people
anyway, Dentathurdent, Steffi, Traveller - we should send each other a PM with cell phone or facebook informations...

...or not^^

Absolutely amazing though, Hansi screaming like there was no tomorrow and THE HOOBIT! Entire set (as far as my brother and I remembered):

Sacred Worlds
Welcome to Dying
Nightfall
Time Stands STill
Turn the Wheel
Majesty
Bright Eyes
Ride Into Obsession
The Lord of the Rings
Valhalla
Tanelorn (Into the Void)
Imaginations
The Bard's Song - In the Forest
The Bard's Song - The Hobbit
Mirror Mirror

The other bands were pretty good as well, especially Saxon and DragonForce.

I am still tired and exhausted, but it was worth it. I enjoyed most of the bands very much, especially DragonForce, but the BG show was an absolute highlight - everybody was in a very good mood, the setlist was great and Hansi at his best!
And there were really nice people around me with whom it was a pleasure to sing with :-)
