Like the original poster I'm always changing my mind, but here's what I would choose for favorite BG songs at the moment.

BOF: The Martyr (I feel like most of the songs from BOF are on an equal level, but what makes The Martyr stand out is its amazing solo. I'm not really a solo guy but I love this one.)

FTB: Follow the Blind (Tough choice between this and Banish from Sanctuary, but Follow the Blind is such an odd song in Blind Guardian's discography. I don't think they ever got heavier or darker than this.)

TFTTW: Lost in the Twilight Hall (The intro is probably my favorite guitar riff BG ever wrote. All around great song and I love Kai Hansen's part.)

SFB: Ashes to Ashes (Being my favorite BG album it was hard to decide, but I went with Ashes to Ashes for its unique chorus and dark vibe. Also, that verse ~3 min in that starts "I am the one..." gives me chills every time.)

IFTOS: Another Holy War (There are better songs on the album, but I'm in love with Another Holy War's chorus.)

NIME: Blood Tears (Again, another tough choice! There's so much diversity on this album. The Curse of Feanor and Mirror Mirror also came to mind, but I like the somber mood of Blood Tears, and that fast, aggressive part a couple minutes in is genius.)

ANATO: Age of False Innocence (I'd have to choose this one if simply for the chorus).

ATITM: Lionheart (My favorite BG album from the 2000s/2010s. This song married the aggression and poppy melodies seen on ATITM very well.)

ATEOT: Valkyries (I wasn't crazy about the speedy songs on this album. Valkyries was more in line with what BG had been doing on ANATO and ATITM.)

BTRM: Sacred Mind (Toss up between this and At the Edge of Time, but I feel the latter starts to drag a little bit. Sacred Mind is a modern speedy song done really well and it has that hypnotizing chorus.)

That's....a unique list for sure. But really, Lionheart? It's probably my candidate for worst BG song ever. :P

:P I haven't listened to ATITM in a couple of years, but I remember really liking Lionheart. Maybe I have to revisit the album.

It's definitely in my top half for ATITM. Love the solo.

Hmm, I never posted here before. I'm going to have to put some songs into parentheses for some, because they're just too close to be certain.

BOF - Majesty
FTB - Valhalla (overplayed they both may be, but I do think it's because they're the best from those albums)
TFTTW - Lost in the Twilight Hall
SFB - The Bard's Song (In the Forest) (with a solid second for Ashes to Ashes)
IFTOS - Imaginations from the Other Side (Mordred's Song or Bright Eyes very close)
NIME - Noldor (Dead Winter Reigns)
ANATO - And Then There Was Silence (Battlefield)
ATITM - Fly (Otherland)
ATEOT - Sacred Worlds (Tanelorn is a close second though)
BTRM - Sacred Mind (guess I like those sacred songs)

The only song I ever tend to skip when listening to BG is The Last Candle

I really like Altair4. Damned for all time might be less good, but worst ever?
The last candle is even more awesome!

I think "piper is calling" is quite skippable... An as a full length song i am skipping the bards song in the forest...

So tough!

BOF - Wizard's Crown and Guardian Of The Blind
FTB - Hall Of The King and Banish From Sanctuary
TFTTW - Lost In The Twilight Hall and The Last Candle
SFB - Time What Is Time and The Hobbit
IFTOS - Bright Eyes and Mordred's Song
NIME - Into The Storm and Curse Of Feanor
ANATO - Punishment Divine and The Soulforged
ATITM - This Will Never End and Skalds & Shadows
ATEOT - Wheel Of Time and Tanelorn (Into The Void)
BTRM - Twilight Of The Gods and Prophecies

Only song I ever really skip besides the non-musical cuts on Nightfall In Middle-Earth would be The Piper's Calling. I like bag pipes once in a while put those one's are screechy, I don't like them and I always skip it.
