Thanks for the Raleigh setlist! I was so spaced out and high on life/music that it would take me days to piece together the setlist from that night. I am still pretty out of it, to be honest. I woke up this morning and immediately squealed "Oh my god, amaaazing!" into my pillow. And it just got worse from there, as I contemplated my experience. Do I really have pics with both Hansi and Andre?! Do I really have an autographed drum head referring to our "very professional singing" Tuesday night?! Is that a Blind Guardian guitar pick in front of me?! I need to be kept on watch for spontaneous combustion. These last five days have rocked so hard that it seems like a very real possibility that I will erupt into flames at any moment.

I am so ridiculously happy. Went to Asheville to see them for the first time and got addicted immediately. When I found out about Raleigh I was on edge trying to figure out a way to get there, and luckily for me my cousin supplied the ride and an escort of sorts, since all the fam was worried that I'd try and do it alone (you'd better believe I would!). I am so thankful to have people like her in my life, who know that shows like these are the best thing in the world and worthy of getting to at all costs. Had to pull some strings to make it happen, that's for sure, but it was worth it a thousand times over.

Also got lucky enough to get over in front of Andre this time, so it's no wonder I'm so looped out. The man had me in some other realm, that much is certain. I was off crossing the Helcaraxe and dancing with the Jak o' Shadows, hehe. In my mind, I have officially put him into the category of "Amazing Axe-Wielding Wizard Man", and the only other person who is in there with him is Jimmy Page. I usually fiercely guard Jimmy's place at the top of the musical mountain, but there is a throne up there with next to him with Andre's name on it.

I think I have "Time.." in the wrong place however...

Outstanding concert. Haven't had that much fun and excitement in a long time. Plus I was mere inches from Marcus and right next to the amp. Heard every single note. :)
And you forgot Bright Eyes!

So I went to both the Raleigh and Springfield shows, and they were amazing! I'm not even really sure what to say. The entire band was in top form both nights, even though it was the end of the tour, and Hansi still had his voice in perfect shape. Absolutely incredible. I was in about the 3rd row at Raleigh for part of the show, though I had to go get water to prevent dehydration, and then I just went towards the middle. I was THIS CLOSE to getting one of Fred's drumsticks. It came flying in all of a sudden, and I kept trying to grab it, but it kept bouncing around. It fell to the ground and I went after it but it was closer to the dude next to me and he got a better grip. And this was the dude who spent the entire show making out with his girlfriend! FUCK!

Springfield show was even better. Got to the 3rd row again and was able to stay there this time. Sang through the entire show, which I couldn't do in Raleigh due to partial dehydration. It was nuts. Since it was the last show, we got ATTWS AND WOT, which was my dearest wish. It was great! The audience did the "na na na" part for at least 3 minutes, and at least that after Valhalla as well. And we got Punishment Divine, unlike everyone else on the North American tour. Barbara Ann was a nice surprise as an extra song at the end, a fun little farewell.

Hansi was funny just as everyone else has said, very charismatic. He knows how much the audiences love them. At Springfield when he was thanking the tech guy for the tour, he said "He of course did a terrible job, but we did our best with what we had, and our best is great," or something like that.

Anyway, it was a fantastic experience and I hope it's not another 4 years until they come back (but it probably will be).

Frakking amazing show!

My daughter & two of my nephews attended and we had a blast!

At one point somebody yelled, "Valhalla" and I echoed him. Hansi said something like, "Sorry, no requests tonight. We are adhering to a very strict program!"
So, I was ecstatic later when they decided they would take us there anyway!

Told my daughter I'd posted a request for Curse of Feanor (for her birthday) - she said, "Dad, they don't play that live".
So started joking that I'd yell for Barbara Ann... I laughed SO hard when Hansi started, "Ba-ba-ba..."!!!

Personally, I enjoyed the supporting bands as well!

Video quality's not too great, and it doesn't sound like Hansi's best vocal performance, but Andre, Marcus and Fred seem to be handling the tempo just fine. Going to be a long time before I have the chance to see that live.

Nice crowd participation at this part (in italics):

Another ride into obsession

et al

Hopefully it will stay in the setlist.

Are you sure about the order of "Lost in the Twilight Hall" and "Tanelorn"? Hansi sent me his setlist (from memory) and it only differed at that point from yours.

And "The Hobbit" was played, right? Some guy over on setlist.fm claims it wasn't. At least I think that is what he wrote in Spanish. Maybe you can have a look. ;-)

Phew, they really played some nice set/s in Australia!

But what's confusing me at the moment - no shows at all in Asia? Japan? This is kind of disappointing. :?

Do we continue this thread for the Memories of a Tour to Come?
In that case, I went to Power Prog Metal Fest in Belgium (all 3 days): http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/blind-gua ... e0472.html
Sacred Worlds
Welcome to Dying
Nightfall
Turn the Page
A Voice in the Dark
Lost in the Twilight Hall
Valhalla
Lord of the Rings
Bright Eyes
Somewhere Far Beyond
Into the Storm
The Bard's Song - In the Forest
Wheel of Time
Mirror Mirror
It was good that Blind Guardian was the last band of the festival
A tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny little bit disappointed about the fact they 'only' played 1,5 hours, while Accept and Rhapsody of Fire played 2 hours the other days.

I was really surprised with the March 29 setlist:

Sacred Worlds
Born in a Mourning Hall
Welcome to Dying
Fly
Time Stands Still (at the Iron Hill)
Majesty
Lost in the Twilight Hall
Tanelorn (Into the Void)
Nightfall
Valhalla
Imaginations from the Other Side
Into the Storm
The Bard's Song - In the Forest
Mirror Mirror

Nightfall wasn't played 3rd  . But now it's all back to normal I see :P
Now I'm riding through the air
Going to where no one dares
On the way I cross the line forevermore.
For once in life, I do not care
Nothing matters, now I dare
On the ride I'll cross the line
Forever to be free

Wait wait wait... Croatia got Barbara Ann and Swtzerland got The Last Candle? You fucking bastards!

In Germany-W we had the same setlist as Switzerland, except that we had Lost in the Twilight Hall instead of The Last Candle, and it was before Majesty. Tanelorn came afterwards (or so I think)
