fan-shirts on gigs ?

#1 Post by Tavi » 26 Aug 2010 13:07

Yeah, I want to ask :

Is really everyone wearing a fan-shirt or longsleeve or whatever on gigs ?
And is it noticeable if you wear not a fan-shirt ?

I usually don't wear a shirt at all, now THAT is noticeable! ;-)

i try to NOT wear a shirt of the band i'm visiting
but really, don't boggle your mind over it, people wear whatever they feel like wearing.

Usually I take the first shirt falling from the wardrobe and cross fingers that it is not pink

I have the same thing, only exception: BG. 8)

When I went to BGOA I brought seven shirts, all of them BG. And I returned with ten.

Lucky you. I'm curious how many forum members were there.

I own only one shirt of BG: with the reaper from Another Stranger Me cover. Bought it at Wacken this month. Like it.

On topic: I wear (or buy before a gig) a shirt of the band I'm visiting if I like this band very much. Why NOT?

There were quite a lot... About 50 as I remember it. I could watch disc 2 of the dvd to count them, but I'm too lazy. :P

I always wear a bandshirt of the band, if I have one. Otherwise I go with a normal black T-Shirt and maybe buy a bandshirt after the concert. I do not buy a second shirt before the gig, because it is quite too warm in a concert hall to wear two shirts and it would be stupid having to carry one shirt around all the time.

@ts: Actually it doesn't matter, what you are wearing, people don't look all the same at a power metal gig, so don't be afraid to wear your pink-yellow-striped polo shirt. I once went to a death metal concert with short hair and baggy pants, I think that shows, that I have the qualification to tell people what to wear at a concert.

I keep it simple- I wear a Blind Guardian shirt no matter which band is playing 8)

I own only 2 official shirts but I prefer to wear a shirt with a print I drew myself. It's usually silly. I did one for an Iron Maiden shirt, which got the comment that it was soooo wrong that it was actually funny. 8)

I usually go with a shirt of my brother old band, or one of my BG shirts, depending on the mood.

Last show I went was the Megadeth RIP tour, with the BG ANATO tour shirt, wich made (that and the fact that I say I don´t like Five Magic) one of my gf´s friend to say "I´m not a real Megadeth fan", almost kicked him out of my car...

But like everyone said, go with what ever you like, I have a friend that goes with a soccer shirt to every band show he goes.

I don't even own clothes, so no I wouldn't wear a band shirt.

Most of my BG shirts are really faded from being worn so often. :(

Only one I'd wear outside is my tour 2009 one. The rest look a little on the scruffy side.

When I went to Sonisphere to see Iron Maiden, I wore a Winnie the Pooh t-shirt. No one said a thing about it.
And The Lord said unto John: 'Come forth and receive eternal life'.
But John came fifth, and won a toaster.
