Yes, me, for example. But I didn't get a note concerning the coins

Mh, no inside the pyramid there was a letter of NB written in german and in english that due to production problems coins will be delivered later without any extra shipping fee.

I guess you will get them to, but maybe it is better to write a short email.
Sorry about my bad english, but the good one is on vacation!

Nope, just the album and the weapons... NB appear to be a messy lot... :S I should send them a message indeed... >.<

How ridiculous... so some of you got the poster, some got coins, some got a note talking about coins, and some just didn't get anything else than the weapons?

The Nuclear Blast people are making a very bad image of themselves, eh

I guess there are running on their capacity and competence limit :D
Btw the pyramid was made by 1Trade (as it is written on the package), so not all NB's fault, but well it's their problem not the customer's, right?

I'm very glad I just got the digipak and not this Pyramid or that other 4 LP edition...

NB sucks dick. Go Century Media!
Each step I take,
May it hurt may it ache
Leads me further
Away from the past!
But as long as I breathe,
Each smile in my bleak face,
I'm on my way to find
Back to the peace of mind!

I received my coins today.
There´s also a letter in it:

"Dear Blind Guardian Fan and Nuclear Blast customer,

in some pyramids the coins might not be included, that´s why we send them out separately.
Sorry for that and a lot of fun with the special edition.
By the way: to lock the pyramid with the long axes (the short ones are for the guards), the "x" on the base has to be on the same side as the dragon on the pyramid."

Same here! They are actually quite cool.
NB could make things up a little by delivering my Final Frontier vinyls tomorrow...

So I saw this and thought, ok, let's see what it looks like and where you can get it....but obviously not from the BG site itself? No reference whatsoever to it.
It does look kinda cool though.

Posted this in another thread before finding this thread :p

So my copy of the Pyramid arrived yesterday...

BROKEN

One of the wings of the dragon had broken off in-transit which I am incredibly pissed off about

I notice this is a common problem - I would rather not just glue the wing back on though! I bought this as its a limited edition COLLECTABLE item. Not worth much if its broken!

And one of the four axes doesn't go through the base properly either.

I've sent off an email to their complaints department and will let everyone know what the result is.

I had that problem at first, too. Make sure the "X" on the base is turned towards the back (the side opposite of the dragon). And make sure you put the axe that's giving you trouble in last. You might have to try different ones in that position. This worked for me. :)

So this is the response I got:
sorry for that. Well I can offer you a discount, as a credit for next order. Can you please send me a picture of that?

I do perfectly understand that you are pissed about that fact. But there is no way to do a better package. It´s more a problem of the delivery companies they do not always take enough care about that.

It doesn´t matter how good that we will pack an item like that – there is always the risk that the item will be delivered broken – sorry.
LAME! I fired back a terse response saying thanks for nothing, don't worry about the discount as I'll never order from them again.

"there is no way to do a better package". RUBBISH!!

Well I finally get mine!!!=D
after a confuse my package was sent last week=/
but it´s finally here!!!

it is not broken but it seems it has not been finished at all, but it looks extremely cool, because 1 soldier seems be made by steel and the other one is kind of "rocky" 8)

the coins and axes are pretty well made and fit perfectly, I also have the poster.

p.s. I haven´t paid so much attention to the album, I play it while opening this stuff but I was too excited to really listening to it=P

Order at NB shop, everywhere else it's just more expensive (for example ebay).

on the german NB site it is already "in stock" again.
I guess they just have some delivery problems with the producer of the pyramid....
if you read this thread carefully you know what i mean ;)

The 4 LP is quite nice, but it seems it has not more content (songs and desriptions) than the 2LP version.

@Traveller in Time

yes i agree with that but i buy vinyl to play them so i hate picture discs (good for collecting only). normal (non pdk vinyl) is always better sound wise because the grooves go deep as oppsed to the wafer thin ones on picture discs..i have noticed this problem with iron maiden vinyls also and their new album says that at the bottom ("Picture discs sound qualioty may not be at par with regular vinyls and that is the drawback of picture discs" )

thanks for your help. if i have some money left over after getting pyramid , 4LP , voice vinyl , voice CD , ill see :D. i love collecting BG !

something that i have been looking for is Somewhere Far BEyond LP and the bard's song cd single..i got it on LP with the LIVE box but i wanted thre cd..

thank you for ytour help mate.

The new sound of Blind Guardian's vinyls (since IFTOS) is worse than CDs, regardless of whether or not Picture Disc.
They aren't analog recordings from master tapes but simple digital recordings so there is a loss of quality.

Well, I was quite surprised when I came home today. I would've gotten something yesterday, but no one was home to sign for it. I expected it to be my vinyl of AtEoT, but instead it was the box set I ordered Sunday (!) that I would have gotten yesterday. Damn fast shipping on that one.

Mine is all intact, even got my coins (with a letter that said they were being sent later...huh).

thats really sad.. guess im just paying that much for the coloured vinyl and 4 gatefold sleeves :(

and i agree the NFIME vinyl doesnt sound great but thats a picture disc. i havent got Twist in the myth so i cant say anything about that..

really sad.. most bands' mangement now just release vinyl for collectors who will store them and never open them :(

EDIT : PS : thank you for the site blind-collection.com i absolutely love it :) really appreciate the effort.

Inside the US, no. I ordered mine from the German Nuclear Blast online shop. Its almost $100 US with shipping involved (and on ebay its more!). Only go this route if you're a die hard.
