PAST TIME RIP OFF

#1 Post by Morbidian » 02 Jun 2010 13:53

Maybe this would sound silly for today, but back in '80's when first Lucifer's Heritage demo came out, band had one song that was actually a rip off from American band Hawaii, leaded by Marty Friedman.

Songs from Hawaii was called ''Living in Sin''

Lucifer's Heritage songs was ''Dead Of the Night'', which was musical rip off of that Hawaii song.

I only wanted to state this as one small interesting fact, nothing more...at the end there's no band in the world which didn't ripped of or copied their idols, or musicians they're admiring to in the beginning of their carrier.
When the sky is burning,
see the Moon falling down.
On your right is lightning.
See the war in the sky.

Remember Brian,
when it's time.
Remember Brian.

Haha indeed, nice find! We are talking about 1985 here though, and a Demo tape. The band was 18yrs old at that time :D
Now I'm riding through the air
Going to where no one dares
On the way I cross the line forevermore.
For once in life, I do not care
Nothing matters, now I dare
On the ride I'll cross the line
Forever to be free

Not only in the beginning... Listen to the first lines from "All the Kings Horses" and then switch to Genesis´ "Dancing with the Moonlit Knight" and there you have it. There you could really say "idols", since that´s pretty much what Genesis is to Hansi according to some interviews.
I, too, am a neat guy. And I, too, am just a love machine
Also, a stupid europeoid with snake primitive language

I was wondering why Dead of the Night was never finalized... I guess this may be why >_>
