What is up with the Symphonic Project?

#1 Post by jsknowles86 » 04 Oct 2009 23:59

I have a couple questions about Blind Guardian's symphonic project...I would love some feedback

1. Can someone confirm what I read on Wikipedia about the records being based on The Lord of the Rings?

2. On the interview from A Twist in the Myth, Hansi stated that the first part would be released in 2008...coming up on 2010, does anybody know what the heck happened?

Thanks!

used to be twenty topics about it, but i guess they got lost when jason pruned without regard of the value...

first of all: yes teh orchestral project is about LOTR (and will be released under the name BG but is in fact a sideproject from hansi and marcus, and will not contain ANY metal as far as i remember)

secondly, the release date has been postponed a zillion times (do you expect anything else with BG? ;) ) Anyway, the current date is somewhere around the same time as the new BG album, or maybe half a year later. I know they had more than half the songs fully written and as good in recordable state. but beyond this i can't say much more about it.

1. I believe it's Hansi and Andre, not Marcus.

2. New album slated for next year, Orchestral Project for 2011/2012. That's the latest word on the subject that I know of.

The current release date is actually 1 or 2 years after the new album. Hansi said that in his last interview 3 weeks ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbDYXxQS9ig

P.S: Oops Led guardian beat me to it!
Now I'm riding through the air
Going to where no one dares
On the way I cross the line forevermore.
For once in life, I do not care
Nothing matters, now I dare
On the ride I'll cross the line
Forever to be free

I understand what you are saying but I think there should be more comments regarding the threat that was initially started so that the pool of thoughts is attracted. Regards.

Is it really about LOTR?
I thought they skipped that for coworking with this author "Markus Heitz", who writes a story for them.
Or is it again outdated?

If the orchestra project is as good as ATEOT it will be very fucking good. I can't wait to hear Hansi singing more in that style.
