This sounds really interesting. I hope that the will not lose themselves into concentrating on the sound of their released albums too much. Andre said that it will be something new, but at the same time he spoke of a mixture. :?

I´m excited.^^

This is like our dream project and we want this to be released and after this we may can arrange something like a big Blind Guardian festival and play this whole orchestra album one time live on stage with a real orchestra. That would be my plan for the future and I hope to realize this.
OMG!! :o

Better start planning a trip to Germany!!!

Yeah, sucks we have to wait so much for that album, but I have to ask - what do you prefer, a masterpiece every 4 years or two good albums every 2 years? I'll settle with the first 8) right now I'm more concentred on the live dates, I really hope that he actually MEAN it when he say they'll play songs that were not played in 10 years.... after seeing their gigs since 2002 I really need something else than the usual Into the storm / Mourning Hall / Nightfall / Script / Fly / Time stands still / Bright eyes / Valhalla / Imaginations / Bard's Song / Mirror mirror thing..

And then we can hope for an apocalyptic BG 2012 open air

Yes you are absolutely right :)

But I do miss Blind Guardian. Realised it when I met Marcus Siepen on the Full Of Hate Festival Tour with Amon Amarth, Obituary, Legion Of The Damned and so on in Oberhausen in March.

Wow, promising stuff indeed :D . I'm really exited about all the upcoming project and it certainly made me seriousely think about going to Germany for the upcoming BGOA! man, we needed this interview 8)
But again it raises the question: what the fuck is the problem with the official website? it's useless, you can't find anything informative about the band! the webmaster really suck
All those plans and hopes and dreams what happens to them? it's only a handfull of the lucky ones who can look back and say that they even came close.

Have I mentioned that I want this album? No? I want this album! And I'm really eager to see them live again.. no matter what they'll play (some "unusual" songs would be great, though)...

If this doesn´t mean they´ll play curse of feanor, I don´t think they will ever play it live... :(

One song that would be cool though is the eldar  Or thorn, or When sorrow sang, hell, give me the whole nightfall album :D

The only songs that could be labeled "unusual", coming from BG, are: Battlefield, The Curse Of Feanor and... well, that would be it.

Either that one or Battlefield. They probably know that the fans desperately want to listen to those songs live.

I also haven't been on a concert of BG yet, but I don't think they've played Straight Through the Mirror or Turn the Page; they'd also be great in my opinion.

we have a mixture of songs and so far right now we just finished a song which is very fast, a speed metal song from the old qualities but with new techniques. It’s my favorite song.
:o !!!! great interview, this is kickass news, i guess i am the only one here that misses the old BG sound :( but its good to know its a mix of different things. This band never disappoints

TFTTW is a very good album. I also like the newer albums more because they are not as thrashy (referring to Thrash-Metal here) as the old ones. But the old albums had nevertheless very cool songs which are still played by the band (e.g. Valhalla or Barbara Ann).

I don't think either of those are unusual to Blind Guardian. I think Carry the Blessed Home is much moreso.

Anyway, this has me absolutely GIDDY for the new album. A pity we have to wait so long.
