Live with Kai Hansen

#1 Post by Spieglein » 27 Mar 2009 19:48

Some of you probably already know this, but I just discovered it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFOvOmp8H7o
It doesn't tell from which show this was taken, I have read that Kai used to join them on stage sometimes, however. Did they play any other songs together?

Don't know if you know it already, but Kai Hansen was singing on Valhalla on the Follow the Blind album and played some guitar solo in the song Last Candle on Tales from the twilight world.

But i guess it is long ago since they played together on stage..

Therefore Hansi sang on Gamma Ray's Land of the Free in the song "Farewell"
Sorry about my bad english, but the good one is on vacation!

If I remember straight, it would be around 1993-95. I think it was during the Somewhere Far Beyond tour but I could be wrong.

I have a bootleg where they do this and it's from 1996. Don't know if this the same version though.

I know about their appearances on each others studio albums, but I hadn't know they played live together as well.
I've read that Kai used to join them live for some time, so there might be different versions floating around. Would be interesting to know if that's the only song they played together, though. A live version of Lost in the twilight hall with Kai would be cool.

Kai Hansen joined them on stage on the 20th of april 1996. It was in Tubingen, Germany. He played guitar on two songs: Ride The Sky and Barbara Ann.
