NEW Favorite Blind Guardian ALBUM Poll (other was outdated!)

#1 Post by arenamaster » 15 Jun 2008 06:14

The other poll was very old, and didn't give A Twist in the Myth a fair chance. So let's try it again, shall we?

I omitted Tokyo Tales because I believe Live is the decisive live album, as it covers everything except Myth up until now. Also, the order got messed up. Sorry.

As for me, after thinking about it, my vote has to go for ANATO. Such an epic album on EVERY level. 8)

Definetly IftOS. All albums are timeless masterpieces, Imgainations is a bit atop of them.

maybe iftos lost a bit of charm to me after having seen an iftos tour duing the anato and the atitm tour...

i used to like eevry single song, now i sometimes just can't bear to listen to script or born...... really.. i loved them for years, and all throughout the anato tour, i didn't mind it, but by now, some songs are overplayed...

I wish I could have chosen more than one album. It is SUCH a hard choice between NiME and ANATO. But the vote went to the latter, seeing as how it has ATTWS and some other amazing stuff. Not that NiME isn't amazing too. In fact, now I wish I chose NiME. Actually ANATO. No, NiME. ANATO. Argh!

^ Sums up my feelings quite well. But in the end I have to part for NIME. NIME simply stands the test of time like no other.

Yeah I would pick SWFB as a second choice. But I really like NIME the best so far.

My vote goes for ANATO. I can listen to it time and time again and I always find something new. Also I think there are no bad, or even average, songs on ANATO, IFTOS can grow a bit boring and there are some songs in NIME which I just don't like so much... Yes, that's why I vote for ANATO.

For me Somewhere Far Beyond is my fav, with Imaginations from the other side in second and Night the Opera in Third tied with Battalions of fear. But I love all of them.

Hi! I'm new here and my name's Josiah.
Blind Guardian is my total FAVORITE BAND and I've managed to spread the news about them and got several of my friends hooked on their music!

My favorite album of theirs is A Night At The Opera. The songs Battlefield and The Maiden and the Minstrel Knight made me fall in love with Blind Guardian's music! That album is timeless!!!! :D

A Twist in the Myth and Nightfall in Middle-Earth are both very good, but here I'll have to say A Night at the Opera, because of Battlefield, Wait For An Answer, Punishment Divine, and of course, my favorite of all BG songs, And Then There Was Silence :D, which virtually decides it for me

I always considered Wait for an Answer to be one of the weaker songs from their last 4 albums (although it does have the weird giggling  ).

That would be my list:

1. TFTTW and NIME; I can't decide between the two
2. SFB
3. IFTOS
4. BOF
5. ANATO
6. FTB
7. ATITM

That doesn't mean that I consider ATITM a bad album, I just like the others more.

NiME. There, I decided for you. Go to the top and enter that vote. :D
Here's the best reason why you voted for NiME: Tommyknockers.

The Last Candle is frickin' awesome, and Tommyknockers is mediocre for BG standards. Their worst song will always be The Maiden and the Minstrel Knight :P

i like cheesy.. i don't care about cheesy.. too much cheese makes things bad (crapsody, manobore) but TLC is simply boring... it drags on and on..
