You charge each other for the time and breath it takes to say 'good morning',
But the truth is slowly dawning -- things are getting out of hand,
We all pursue our shattered dreams along the roads to our own ruin --
Watch our empires sink and wash away like castles made of sand.
And so cast off the lies that are your lives and find the truth within.

I think I just encountered a tundra vole (or the subspecies that occurs in the Netherlands) during my nightly walk. :D A very cute little animal, that hardly even seemed to notice my presence it seems, as I was observing him/her.

i think our government and our mainstream media are taking advantage of the motherfucking earthquake by over exposing people crying and talking about how "great" our country is when a tragedy strikes it...

i say someone oughta hit their fucking heads with a bat(baseball bat,not a flying bat) to stop this madness, specially that Don Francisco guy.oh and the president, why not.

i woke up with a boner as always, too bad i'm divorced and can't "fix" that problem in a...normal way.

but enough about boners.

'tis a foggy day in Santiago,a real shame, for you see, this means that our already deadly polluted air will stay at a very low altitude increasing the posibilities of respiratory diseases(such as:you name it,we got'em).wich takes me to my random thought...is there any possible way that a big city such as this one, constructed on a valley(not too bright for an industrialised city huh?),full of cars, trucks and buses, will ever have it's air cleaned?i don't see that happening in my time of life nor by the time my great grandchildren are born.

fuck it

I still feel a bit strange. Yesterday there was a memorial of the Rwandese genocide in my hometown (with our mayor and the ambassador of Rwanda present). I got there because there was someone from Rwanda of my football club involved, a referee. Afterwards he told me his parents were hacked to death with machetes in front of his very eyes, he was 13 years old at the time... :|

Those effects Marcy speaks of can be insanely funny I must say. So maybe "strange" is a bit of an incomplete definition.

I don't feel at all like making any kind of ridiculously generalizing statements about Islam or Muslims, but it should be goddamn possible to post a satirizing image without getting death threats as a result of it. And yes, that also includes satirizing images about Middle-Eastern religions (any of them!).

Also, I don't think we should allow freedom of speech to become an issue for right-wing parties to focus on. Freedom of speech is just as much a thing that's of interest to the left, as it is a thing of interest to the right. And I'm really hoping that as many people as possible, on all sides of the political spectrum, are going to make clear that this freedom is not a thing that we'll give away easily, to extremists of any kind. (Whether they be Muslim fundamentalists, or governments trying to limit the openness of the Internet in order to gain more control, or corporate crooks such as the ones that deemed it necessary to remove the Der Untergang parodies from the Internet)
