Re: The Hobbit trailer
It doesn't look that good . . . not nearly as good as LOTR
Re: The Hobbit trailer
Hey, the *book* is not nearly as good as LOTR
but it's still a damn fine book, and so the movie I strongly hope.

That's unusual. I usually hear "I couldn't get past the first hundred pages of LotR, but I love The Hobbit!"T3hOverlord wrote:It was honestly hard for me to get through the book lol

Re: The Hobbit trailer
I found The Hobbit barely entertaining. It's so obiviously a) a moralising children's story, b) utterly reactionary and filled with an almost palpable distaste for the urban proletariat, c) told in a very boring way, and d) completely lacking in the qualities that redeemed LotR: The masterful and very anglo-saxon sense of nostalgia and greatness lost and long for.Led Guardian wrote:That's unusual. They say that there's a broken light for every heart on Broadway.
They say that life's a game, then they take the board away.
They give you masks and costumes and an outline of the story
Then leave you all to improvise their vicious cabaret...
Still the goddamn Batman.

Re: The Hobbit trailer
Can't wait to see the movies!!!!

Peter Jackson couldn't help him self, and started this amazing "continuation".
For years I've watched and re-watched LOTR trilogy, and I've always ended it with that feeling "I want more". Much more.

Re: The Hobbit trailer
That is me! I read the whole of the first book, I made mself gt through it after countless aborted efforts since I was a child. The Hobbit, on the other hand, is an annual read at least for me. Maybe the fact that it is wrote for children and everything else wrote about it here and everywhere else on the net is the reason it fits with me so well; I am basically like a child still and will never grow up!Led Guardian wrote:That's unusual.
