Universal has dumped the Dark Tower Saga movies/mini series. This makes me sad

I would have been sad at the news, but that website revealed to me something I did not know.

This might be one of those blessings in disguise.

They either need to get BBC to do something with it, or make it an HBO mini series. Either of those would treat the text with a lot of dignity, and it's not like that title would be lacking for fans.

If you are a King fan at all I highly recommend getting a hold of the original (King put out a version with some info added to the story that didn't really need to be in the book some years after the original was released, ive read both and prefer the first version) of the Gunslinger. If you like it continue on, if you dont never look back.
