Checked Hohenneuffen castle. The restaurant there seems very expensive, with main dishes coming in around 20€. Maybe Yeti can advise a nice restaurant in Neuffen. Apart from the prices, I'm not overly keen on the castle, either. So give your opinions.

Just a short update. Rooms have been booked but I will only get the fixed reservations on the 5th of January, because the hotel people are currently on a holiday. I don't expect any problems, I talked with the manager on the phone and he said it should work out.
