Re: The Blind Guardian Phenomenon

I tried to describe this phenomenon to my friends. They explain it as, I'm just a fanboy and force myself to eventually love everything they make. I'd like to disagree. I don't believe I'm a mindless fanboy. What's wrong with being a fanboy? IMO it is more mature and intelligent to be an admitted f...

I'll readily admit that I have little compassion for the employees. Extreme efficiency is a thing to strive for, to me. I see it as impressive more than anything. I already know I'm cold in that regard. Wow. So you openly admit to being evil? Huh. If it wasn't them, it would be someone else. They m...

Turns out that it exists. It is on KOBO here . It's also on Kindle, but that should not be supported. Amazon is evil. I will always support a competitor instead of them if reasonably feasible. What's the problem with Amazon? I ask because I bought the Amazon version. It was my first eBook. It was a...

'Cause reading it in German is more effort than I am willing to put in. :D

Metal-Archives lists several versions of Legacy of the Dark Lands , including a 4-CD "mailorder edition" . Does anyone know where to get this? I cannot see it in the Nuclear Blast webshop . The closest match I can find is the earbook , but that clearly corresponds to the 3-CD version listed at Metal...

Hi, all! It has come to my attention that the 2018 and 2019 Blind Guardian resissues come with some juicy bonus tracks. I don't have these albums yet, but I gather that the following exist: * "The Tides of War" ( NIME bonus track). * A variant of "Doom" with different lyrics. * A variant of "Grand P...

Hi! Recently I've become more of a fan of buying downloads (MP3s, OGGs or the like) rather than buying CDs. But this is non-trivial to find. You can find downloads of some bands on Bandcamp (https://bandcamp.com/), but only a minority of bands use this. Amazon is an option. They have lots of music f...

Hi, guys.

What are the highest notes that Hansi has sung on record? Do you know?

The highest note I have found is in Noldor:

"The blame's on me
cause I, I was not there"

This snippet goes up to F#5 twice (three full steps above tenor C).

Can you name other good candidates?
