I like Opeth just fine. On topic, anyhow, I'd say that if I was to pick an album from which to show a new potential fan of Blind Guardian, I'd pick on off of BG's own choice and newest album, At The Edge of Time. Personally I'd go with either the opening or closing tracks, as they have great range a...

Well, finally having given it a few spins, I can say I'm pleasantly surprised. The comparison I'm trying to make isn't pop singing to death grunts, it's your typical pop singing to the more typical metal singing. Tommy's style of vibrato as he moves between notes and largely the character of his singing voice are something I hear much more in modern pop music than I do in the ...

Listened to a couple Seventh Wonder songs and a few live vids of Tommy at the mic, and I have to say I'm still not a fan. His voice is just far too clean. Khan had excellent style when creating vocal melodies and the right touch of roughness and an edge to it. Tommy's voice is far more suited to pop...

If you start standing in line right about now, I think you'll be good.

And seats? What seats? You're on your feet and cheering on the band, man! It's a metal concert, not a retirement home!

If doors are at 7, it wouldn't hurt showing up around an hour early, or a bit more if it's a large venue.
