I dunno, I don't find it hard at all... but I have listened to that song about a billion times. I'm inspired to do a vocal cover... but I don't know if I have the time to spend recording guitar and bass and programming drums, in addition to vocals.

Well the reason he's more consistent on Live is that that album was recorded from several different concerts and the best tracks were chosen for each song. So essentially it has Hansi's best performances of each song on that whole tour, on one album.

Reading The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell. I'm only halfway through, but this book has awed me every page. It's just one of those books that completely changes the way you look at the world.

Agreed, though a couple albums on my list are guilty of participating (Ayreon, PoS, The Delgados but in the latter case I think the overcompressed sound was intentional, and suits the style).
