Re: Themes for BG songs

Ryu, I don't think Born In A Mourning Hall is about marxism. Did the band say that on an interview or something like that? Seems to me unlikely. Edit: OK there is this part, but nothing more: "Obey and work hard And feel no anger Just sympathy for the higher class There's no chance in changi...

Re: Themes for BG songs

may I ask for sources for that whore of babylon stuff for DSoM? I never ehard that before and I'd be quite interested... "Turn your back On the ones you have loved Enjoy the heat of your whore Babylon". It's only that scant mention; the rest of the song sounds like it's about the apocalypse. The Wh...

Wasn't the shipping charge included in the price? At least, it's this way it works on sites like Amazon. Also, there's not an importing charge, because books and magazines are free from it, but I guess it depends on each country's laws.

Re: The Last Movie You Watch.

Pretty Woman(1990) I was forced to watch this movie for the second time (first was in 1990) in an uncle/aunt visit and noticed some things that are not typical of a light-romantic movie. First, the too much obvious suggestion of a porn movie facial. Then, the scene in which Julia Roberts and Richard...

Why cancelling the third world debt?

10. We demand cancellation of Third World debt. It took me some years to discover why this happened. I've always thaught it was weird that Bush did this, but I finally understood why. The explanation is that polititians are put in power by dominant classes. So, when they take over, they have to do ...

Ressurection of an idea

And I still propose a spot where you can introduce yourself. Maybe one sticky-topic in the coffee-shop? Very good idea. I'll probably open such a topic tomorrow, as I gotta leave right in a few minutes now. It would be nice though if the existing regulars also posted something in that topic. Also, ...

Re: Bad videoclips from ancient or recent times...

I had to necro-post because Dschinghis Khan remembered my childhood. I still have the vinyl and I have a crush on young Henriette. Hadschi Halef Omar is her best performance and looking. It's not bad taking in account it's from 1979, and remember that they became famous worldwide singing in german, ...

Don't Drop The Sword - What do you think about them?

I couldn't find a topic about this band here. So... what do you think about them? Do you like their early BG sound or the Hansi-like vocals? Though the voice is good, I don't like the songs because they sound generic, without creativity.

Who Is Online - Forum Location. I saw this new function on the forum and felt homesickness, a nostalgia. I imagined several old nicks and I seeing what topic they were reading at the moment. This would be much fun for me.

Fall Out Boy - This Ain't a Scene, It´s A Godamn Arm's Race.

It is sung in the chorus: "I'm the leading man, and the lies I weaven are so intricate".

But everybody hears: "I'm an Emo man, and I'm so evil, also into cats".

Re: What your nick means?

Mine is the city where I was born. I got this nick in real life when I moved to a bigger city. Like Caravaggio, the painter, whose real name is not Caravaggio.
It's in native language and it means "lands where nothing grows". It was the name given to the vegetation that was common here.

1990 - I Guerrieri Del Bronx (1982)

I didn't understand the conversations because it hadn't subtitles. I read that the plot is a copy of a Shakespeare tragedy named Troillo and Kressyda.

Dawn Of The Dead (1978)

Two hours and half watching a game of shooting zombies. I don't recommend.
