Re: BTRM needs to be better represented on the upcoming tour

from what I've read and heard in interviews they try to balance old favorites with new songs. certain songs are out because they are too hard to sing or to complicated instrumentally... but they said they couldn't play AttwS due to overlapping vocals and the like but did a great live version on ITtL...

perhaps a knowledgeable fan with webpage skills could create a strong list of candidate songs for harmonix and we all vote the top three songs in for use in the new game.

Re: BTRM is probably their best

I do think this album is ambitious and grandiose in the ways that inspire praise even from the naysayers. the last decade has been a very winding road indeed MoaTTC was the album closest to BtRM but ATitM and especially ANatO were great prog metal albums but moved in musical directions unfamiliar to...

U.S.A thinking about BtRM

I have been hoping that BG become a band well known in the U.S. like megadeth is or metallica and so far the truth is still far away. Does anyone have any reason to think that this album may push the band to be recognized by a greater majority of fans that like the two mentioned bands or say dream t...

super excited for this album, "totg" is all I know. Apart from the promo trailers and a web review from metalsucks website ( they gave it very good reviews). When I get it I will give a full review.

Re: Which BG song has affected/affects you the most?

for me the discovery of "nime" as music lyrics and a style that felt (at the time) like it was written for me by friends. It is why I've stuck with them to this day.

Re: Twilight of the Gods vs A Voice in the Dark

avitd was almost too catchy for me, I like totg better because it has bit more to digest lyrically. although they seem to be depending on the chorus more than in past songs ... but ehh Hansi is still one of tyhe best fantasy style song writers in metal today or ever.

Re: Is Blind Guardian a power metal band?

I have been listening to a very eclectic variety of music for the better part 40 yrs. prog pop blues rock but especially metal from death to symphonic and in the late eighties BG was easy a thrash speed metal style. In the 90's power metal elements were prevalent. Then 2k's and the more symphonic st...

sooner is better but just reading an empty hello from the band is not enough. news for a new album, the orchestral album, or best yet a north american tour schedule would be best!
