Re: Rating all that is beyond the red mirror

The Ninth Wave - 9/10 Really dark for Blind Guardian standards, except for the chorus. Took a while to get used to the contrast but now I love it. But I still think the darker parts are the best (As we will rule the world...) Twilight of the Gods - 7.8/10 Decent, would not have gotten that much atte...

Re: Which BG song has affected/affects you the most?

Really interesting topic! I guess for me it would be Bright Eyes. There's a lot in it I can relate to. The feeling that everything around you has just gone mad and is completly out of control. And at the same time the vague idea that you don't get what you deserve and have to deal with it alone, but...

Re: Blind Guardian LP10

Well, the label is propably involved in a lot of things during the production, since they are the ones with the money. But I don't think they just search for an artist and the band has to deal with it. What I can imagine is that they announce a budget for the artwork and the band chooses whoever the...

Re: Blind Guardian LP10

My guess is that Twilight of the Gods refers to Wagners opera "Götterdämmerung", it's quite popular in Germany and Hansi used the theme before for Blood on my Hands. So maybe he visited it again for the new album? That could mean that Twilight... is going to be one of the epic pieces, hence the refe...

"Turning it in" (he calls it "abgeben") propably refers to sending the finished record to the label.
