Not bad dude. It sounded pretty spot on and you have good tone.

Re: Nevermore

I think the constant touring ended the band. After Godless Endeavor was released they toured non stop for about 2 years. You can't keep that up without something giving in. It's a real shame that they are not together anymore but they pretty much maxed out their sound.

That sucks. I wouldn't have minded to hear them play without bass. No slag on bass but I'm sure the fans would understand.

Desultor- Masters of Hate

A really cool new band that plays some heavy stuff with a clean vocalist (breath of fresh air).

Re: My new 12 minute epic - A Warrior's Fate

Nice work Paul you did a great job with this one. I really dig the "Ohhhh" part such a cool melody. This thing is littered with good melodies. I was impressed with the riffage in some parts too which (particularily the part that comes in after the intro). When your vocals get harsh it sounds great, ...

Re: Acoustic, Medieval, Folk song - The Lost Words of a Poet

Very relaxing. The flute and acoustic sounds sounded great. It was missing a little bit of a hook. The "I was lost" vocal part seemed like it was going to be a real climaxing hook but it just rounded out. It's not that catchy overall but it sets a cool mood and overall is an enjoyable song. You also...

Shepherd: Plastic (please comment on my new song)

Here is the fourth song I have finished writing for my project Shepherd entitled "Plastic". Please take a listen and comment if you wish. It's melodic thrash/black metal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqytOBp6A00 Plastic: The time in which we live Can be like any other The blood is still red And th...

Re: Pack of rabid dogs

Impressive lead guitar playing dude. To me it was a mixture of Jason Becker and Nightwish (One of the melodies instantly reminded me of "Come Cover Me"). I'm not really big into lead guitar instrumentals because so much of what is played is forgotten and just wank fest. However, you do a good job o...

Re: Another new song - Forgotten Lands

This reminds me a little bit of Axel Rudi Pell. Kind of a straight foward heavy metal sound with some 80's anthem rock. This is strong material. Usually I go for stuff a little more flashy guitar wise but the song always brings me back with a cool hook or just a massive sound. Keep it up man.

I think thats good advice. I'll try to lower them next time. I just listened to Nectors of Eden by Ebony Tears....I can totally hear it and wow this band is awesome!

Re: Shepherd: Stay Safe...and Die

I really appreacite the feedback! My friend who does vocals for me had a hard time doing the faster parts. He is more of a black metal or doom metal vocalist but I like the contrast it brings. But yes I think beefing it up would help. Thanks again for listening.

Re: My new song - Born Fighter

The riffs don't do much for me but the overall song is moving and catchy. I can see what Andreas is saying about the vocals but by the end of the song I didn't mind and really liked the vocals. Some juicy melodies in there, nice work. This is some good classic anthem/heavy metal.

Re: My bands new fantasy song

Very melodic and relaxing stuff! I enjoyed this quite a bit. The drumming wasn't anything flashy but it does the job, good work. I agree with the others the singer is the highlight here. I didn't like the male vocals so much but it's tolerable. Overall it reminds me of The Gathering but with more in...

Opinions of my music

I'd like to see what you guys think of a couple songs that I wrote for a project of mine called Shepherd. I write and play everything except vocals and drums (programmed drums....lame I know but I don't know any drummers). I like a little bit of everything when it comes to metal (thrash, death, powe...
