Re: Live Beyond The Spheres New Live Album

Have to say it sounds really flat. No crowd noise. The music sounds overproduced. My only knock on the band is that they put too many overdubs and backing tracks into their studio songs. When they play the tracks as backing live, it sounds too technical. They miss a lot of the raw energy. Live was i...

Re: Update orchestral project

This project will never be heard. If their vision has not been able to be realized after this many years, I honestly don't think it ever will. I would rather have them focus on pure Blind Guardian albums so that we don't have to wait 5 years between releases. I know it's a negative post, but frankly...

Re: Setlist discussion for 2015

Wow that's crazy! Haven't been able to find a video yet but hopefully one will show up and it better be on the live album! Haven't seen a video, but early in the show, Hansi asked if we minded if they recorded a special song for the live album later in the set. We all agreed. :-) I was at the rail,...

By my recollection there were about 800 folks there.

Re: New York City show - November 20th

I wonder why shows in the US always seem to last a bit less, and this is the same for every band, not just BG. Maybe it has something to do with more tight timeframes for doors opening, bands performing etc etc.... but considering that people travel great distances to attend a show (in Europe we're...

Here's to hoping that "And Then There Was Silence" makes it to the North American setlist. I'd love to hear that live.

Re: US Tourdates confirmed!

Can't wait to see them in Asheville, NC on Dec 17! I can't believe they are coming this close. The venue holds 1,000. Small but should be a great show to be so close to them.

Anyone else going to this one?
