You're probably right, I only saw them in 2006 and he was still doing it a bit then (ick), or just turning everying, singing or screaming, into this weird in-the-middle shouting (more ick.)

The possibilities are endless indeed. I'd prefer a neat job as a trashman to a job like that. Same here, any day. No wonder the poor guy has a whopping claim for post traumatic stress. On a more positive note in reference to my post about the new album further up, I have just cancelled my order wit...

Only one I enjoy off the top of my head is Swallow the Sun. I wasn't blown away by them on record but saw them live supporting Apocalyptica. Not totally my cup of tea but an impressive live show.

My job throws up some really disgusting stuff every so often.

Just been reading a statement from a prison officer who dealt with self-harming inmates. There's some imaginitive methods of self-harm in there, shall we say

Anybody have much to say about her books? What's anybody's favourite trilogy? I ask as I seem to have accidentally turned my Mum into a massive crazy fangirl now she's finished Tawny Man (incidentally my favourite set of the lot). Also looking forward to the next Rain Wild Chronicles book whenever t...

Re: Demons & Wizards - your general impression

The bashing sort of attitude is something that annoys me immensely. Not everyone went from X band through Y band to end up at Z band, and there will always be those bands you inexplicably miss for any number of reasons. But I deserved the bashing! At least that's what they said... Oh well, totally ...

GNR - Appetite for Destruction, was my first rock or metal CD I think, so I'll always have a soft spot for it.

Personally significant otherwise? Hmm, my favourite album is probably Serenity's Fallen Sanctuary, so that one.

George Michael - Careless Whisper I think deserves a mention. Although, if forced to pick, I'd probably go with Celine Dion's It's All Coming Back to Me NOw, mentioned further up.

I think the Return of the King soundtrack was one of my most played CDs in the car. I love all three soundtracks, particularly the Rohan theme. And Into the West is just beautiful. Pirates of the Caribbean has a pretty good soundtrack too I feel. As for games, Icewind Dale 1 and 2 have some great mo...

Re: So... What's your favourite Fantasy story?

If really forced to pick, then as a series it would be The Song of Ice and Fire, followed by the Lord of the Rings. (And whilst I would personally count it as historical fiction rather than fantasy, kudos for the mention of the Warlord Chronicles - I have yet to find a historical fiction series to b...

Whilst I still enjoyed AFFC, I have to agree with you. Mind you, that may have also been down to the lack (or very little involvement) of my three favourite characters. And also because Cersei got on my wick as a PoV.

Having seen Halford sing Painkiller twice in the last couple of years, forgetting the lyrics aside, I do actually think Ripper sings it better, especially these days.

Bloodstock 2009 - I'll admit to being a late comer to BG, I was aware of them but not in any great detail.

I believe my initial thought by about half way through the first song (Time Stands Still) was "Where the hell have you been all my life?"

Planescape Torment is brilliant (I need to borrow that back off the other half and finish it) and I love Baldur's Gate 2 and the first Icewind Dale also.

Hmm, I haven't tried the new books as I didn't really get on with Chronicles - they're good stories I just think it reads as if it's been written as a game rather than a novel. I much preferred the War of Souls books.

What's the first one of the new trilogy called?
