Re: Setlist discussion for 2015

I'm shocked. And they played ATTWS before that, and then IFTOS right after? That takes some endurance, especially so late in the tour! Just one more reason Blind Guardian is the best band in the world.

Re: Setlist discussion for 2015

The Philly show was great! I was surprised that they played Wizard's Crown again - maybe getting another take for inclusion on the live album? Would be cool. Pretty much the same set as Worcester but with Lost and Imaginations swapped for Welcome and And the Story Ends. I don't remember seeing Welco...

Re: Setlist discussion for 2015

Your setlist is spot on, except that Imaginations was played at the end of the first set. What a unique night it was! I guess the Bards wanted to say "thank you" for spending our Halloween with them. Turns out Hansi is not elvish, but is in fact Elvis! I still can't believe they played the whole set...

You never know, the setlist may change a lot over the course of the tour and Miracle Machine may get played. I don't even care at this point, I'm just excited to see them again. And let's not forget Grave Digger! I'm sure they'll put on a great show too.

Somewhere Far Beyond is so far beyond anything else they've ever done for me it's hard to pick the other four. But, here goes: 1. Somewhere Far Beyond - coincidentally, my first exposure to Blind Guardian, and probably my favorite album of all time 2. Nightfall in Middle Earth - such an ambitious al...

I saw Blind Guardian at the Palladium in 2010 and the sound was great. I've got tickets to see them in NYC and Philadelphia as well but I've never been to those venues (it's been five years since they were here and they're not getting any younger, so I'm trying to see them while I can!).

Re: This BtRM part sounds like that other song...

First of all, BG (well, Hansi in particular) are master of arranging songs. One of the peculiar things of BG from almost the beginning is taking the structure of a guitar riff in a song, raise it or lower it in pitch and totally change the vocal pattern. In this way, with one guitar riff (which wor...
