Re: 70,000 tons of METAL, 2015

I got one video from each set. Too busy rocking out and singing along to bother getting more. The listening party for the new album was great. Sucked that security was so tight as it would have been a nice memento to get a photo to say "I was there". Into The Storm, first set, indoor stage: https://...

Re: BG Sydney Meetup

I think most likely, they've started small (I believe the capacity of the Factory is about 500). If they sell lots of tickets, they can easily upgrade to a larger venue. I'll probably make it to one gig or the other. Leaning towards Melbourne though as I could do Soundwave Revolution on the Friday a...

*EPIC THREAD BUMP*

So, hopefully soon there could be reason for another BG Melbourne Meet Up.

On the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise, Hansi and Andre told me that they are coming back to Australia Sept/Oct.

Most likely just Melbourne and Sydney but hey at least its better than just Melbourne last time!

Yeah gnome, haven't seen too many as very few metal bands ever make it down here to Australia :( At least, the kind of metal bands I like anyway! Out of the 34 bands named so far, the only ones I've seen live are: Blind Guardian (twice in Melbourne in 2007) Dark Tranquillity (once in Greece in 2004)...

I mean if I was at a European festival and a band was on that I didn't care for, what would I do? Go sit in the mud/dust somewhere, eat some crappy food, drink some expensive warm alcohol. Judging from that, you are definitely doing something wrong, I'm normally sitting quite comfortable in my camp...

Valkyrja - the organisers have said that they want to make it an annual thing.

Not necessarily sailing the same ship, same course, same port of origin, but the same idea.

I cannot wait!!

I'm hoping KAMELOT get added. Which is highly likely since most of the band hail from Florida.
